Will enable you to apply to the SIA for a Door Supervisor licence.

Our course is designed to give the knowledge needed to pass the exams, and to give you a working knowledge of possible sittuations that might accure in your field of work.

What is the aim of this course?

To work as a Door Supervisor or Security Guard in the UK you will need to have a licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

One of the requirements of the licence is that you hold a recognised qualification, and the Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors meets this requirement.

The course is run over four days and has 28 hours of tuition and 2 hours of exams.

Who is it for?

New entrants to the security industry and those who are returning to it having previously worked prior to the introduction of SIA licensing in 2004.

What does it cover?

The qualification consists of two units:

  • Unit 1 - Roles and Responsibilities of Door Supervisors
  • Unit 2 - Conflict Management for Door Supervisors

The exams consist of two 40-question multiple choice papers with pass marks of 28 for Unit 1, and 24 for Unit 2
