Aims & Objectives
This is a two-day intensive course which has been specifically formulated to provide practical, safe and memorable training for employees wishing to increase their skill suites in Self Awareness and Defence Management.
This will help to ensure all delegates perform their jobs more efficiently and effectively when faced with threatening situations. It will also help employers toward fulfilling their obligations under ‘Duty of Care.’.

Defence Module 3
- Breakaway Techniques-including hair grabs, tie grabs & clothing
- Fight or Flight response
- Use of personal items i.e. Briefcase/Laptop, Wallet, Mobile Phone,& Handbag
Defence Module 4
- Controlling the Aggressor
- Wrist & Arm Applications
Defence Module 5
- Defence from attacks (strikes and grabs)
- Front

- Whilst sitting (car)
Defence Module 6
- Defence from multiple attack-shield and evasion techniques

Modular Open Course
This course has been designed as an “open course” but it is modular in content so industry specific needs can be addressed. The modules can be expanded as required but a minimum of 5 modules are a mandatory requirement. Target Audience
The course is targeted at all personnel who deal with the general public in line with their job. It is a pre-requisite for managers, supervisors, safety representatives and any non-health and safety specialists.
Pre-Course Preparation
All delegates must complete a written Health Assessment form prior to attending the course. This will ensure special needs are catered for.
Certification
Delegates successfully completing the course including carrying our practical techniques will receive a training certificate.
